    Fans of airsoft games are increasing daily, and so is the need for suitable firearms. Some of the most commonly used airsoft firearms are gas-powered guns and rifles. They are less costly than automatic electric guns and are suitable for experienced users.

    Many airsoft players prefer to buy gas airsoft guns because they have a higher BB velocity level than spring and electric-powered ones. Gas airsoft guns are also preferred because of their semi-automatic shooting and magazine reloading convenience. The blowback feature in a gun gives it additional recoil, making it feel more realistic. Blowback features are integrated and can not be added as an upgrade to other guns.

    The two major types of gas-powered guns; Gas Blowback and Non-Blowback Gas Airsoft  Firearms. The gas-back and non-blow-back contain pistols and rifles, but pistols are more popular, which is why blowback guns are often referred to as pistols. Below you will see the differences between the two options.

    Features of Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistols

    • It has a moveable slide that moves back and forth when you take a shot
    • Blowback gun sometimes operates with an internal bolt, meaning it has no external moving slide.
    • The gas used to move the slide backward is CO2.
    • Some blowback airsoft guns can have a true semi-auto action and full auto capability.
    • It gives a noticeable recoil that imitates that of a real gun.

    Pros

    • It has a more realistic feel because of its substantial recoil.
    • It looks good during shooting and is suitable for an excellent action prop weapon.
    • It is a superior teaching airsoft gun because of its single-action trigger.

    Cons

    • It reduces the power and number of shots you could get from the airsoft pistol.
    • It is affected by cold temperatures and cools down effect.
    • The recoil effect cab affect a shooter’s accuracy

    Features of Non-Blowback Airsoft Pistols

    • It has fewer functioning parts because it does not require movable slides or blowback valves.
    • The airsoft slide can be movable or fixed, but they do not recoil.
    • For single-action shooting, the shooter needs to cock the hammer and use a double-action trigger pull for semi-auto shooting.

    Pros of Non-blowback Airsoft pistols

    • Non-blowback airsoft pistols have fewer moving components, meaning it is less complex and gives fewer problems.
    • It is more accurate because it does not have a recoil effect.
    • It offers more rounds per CO2 and more potential power because it does not need CO2 for the blowback function.

    Cons of Non-Blowback Airsoft Pistols

    • It has a heavier and longer trigger pull because it requires double action.
    • They are not as interesting for shooting compared to a gas blowback airsoft pistol.
    • It is less effective to use as a prop.

    Which One Should You Choose Between, A Blowback or a Non-Blowback Airsoft Gun?

    Choosing the best gas airsoft pistol for yourself will depend on your preference. The primary advantage of a gas blowback airsoft pistol is its realism. It looks and feels like a real gun. If you want a good prop weapon and superior training instrument, go for a gas blowback airsoft pistol.

    But a non-blowback airsoft gun is good in other areas apart from looking and feeling real. If you are looking for an airsoft pistol with low maintenance cost and stress. Also, it provides better gas efficiency and  FPS.

    Conclusion

    Choosing the best option between a gas blowback and a non-back all boils down to your preference. Before deciding on one, it is best to consider all the factors and advantages listed above. They are essential parameters that ensure you get exactly what you want.

    Remember, blowback guns  are more realistic in look and function, while non-blowback guns are not realistic but are easier to maintain and handle, making it suitable for beginners.
