    Since his breakout performance in The Godfather Part II in 1974, Al Pacino has established himself as one of the most versatile and respected actors of modern cinema. Over the course of his career, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, producing some of the most iconic collaborations in film history. Here, we take a look back at some of Al Pacino’s most memorable collaborations. Pacino first teamed up with director Francis Ford Coppola for the classic gangster movie The Godfather Part II. The film earned Pacino an Academy Award for Best Actor, and it remains one of the most celebrated collaborations in film history. The pair also worked together on the epic war drama Apocalypse Now, which earned Pacino an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Pacino also collaborated multiple times with director Brian De Palma. Their first project was 1983’s Scarface, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest gangster movies ever made. Three years later, they reunited for the thriller The Untouchables, which starred Kevin Costner and Sean Connery. Pacino also worked with director Michael Mann on two crime dramas: Heat (1995) and The Insider (1999). Heat is one of Mann’s most acclaimed films and is widely regarded as one of the best movies of the 1990s. The Insider earned the pair a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards. In more recent years, Pacino has worked with filmmaker David Mamet on several projects. Their most acclaimed collaboration was the 2008 drama You Don’t Know Jack, for which Pacino earned an Academy Award for Best Actor. Al Pacino has had a long and varied career, and he has worked with some of the greatest filmmakers in cinema history. His collaborations have produced some of the most iconic films of the last four decades, and his performances have earned him numerous accolades.
